Fuel
Valero (based in San Antonio, Texas) is the gasoline provided at all Ohio Turnpike Service Plazas. Click on the logo for more information about Valero.
Service stations are operated 24/7/365 at all service plazas and provide gasoline and diesel fuel, as well as a variety of convenience items. Full-service is available at self-service pricing for those in need of assistance. (Customers who need assistance should pull up to a pump and beep the horn for an attendant.)

Vehicle Supplies
Travelers can purchase coolant, washer fluid, fuel conditioners, oil, supplies and accessories, and Ohio Lottery tickets at any service station on the Turnpike. Bagged ice and bottled water may also be purchased at the fuel kiosks. An attendant is on duty 24-hours a day and can call for assistance if customers need repairs or towing services. (Fuel prices on the Turnpike are competitive to other locations in the area.)

Gift Shops
Most service plazas have a gift or retail shop offering various items for the traveling public. Gift shops typically have newspapers and magazines, snacks, knick-knacks, first aid supplies, film and more. The retail shops typically offer Ohio clothing and apparel as well as sports team paraphernalia and other items.

Handicapped Accessibility
All service plazas have reserved handicapped parking, wheelchair access ramps and specially designed restroom facilities. The new service plazas offer accessibility from any entrance for customers in wheelchairs.

Wi-Fi ~ Wireless Internet Access
There are ten wireless AT&T hotspots on the Ohio Turnpike. Wi-Fi coverage includes all interior and exterior areas of the following service plazas:
Blue Heron, Wyandot, Erie Islands, Commodore Perry, Middle Ridge, Vermilion Valley, Great Lakes, Towpath, Portage, and Brady's Leap.
Travelers can use laptop computers and/or personal digital assistants to wirelessly connect to the Internet. Now, checking e-mail, getting directions, or finding a map will be easier and more convenient than ever for travelers. Pricing: AT&T DSL customers can use AT&T Wi-Fi for only $1.99 a month. Non AT&T users can purchase a 2 hour session for $3.95 or a month-long membership for $19.95 (provides unlimited access to all SBC Wi-Fi hot spots for one month).

Life-Saving Technology
An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is located near the 911 phone in each service plaza. All plaza managers, assistant managers and several plaza employees have been trained to use this equipment, as well as the Ohio State Highway Patrol personnel.
In an emergency, the AED is available for anyone to use. Opening the door on the AED Unit will sound a local alarm at the plaza and the Turnpike Communications Center will send immediate notification to emergency medical responders in the area.

Ohio Lottery
Online and instant lottery tickets are sold at most service plazas. All Valero operators have instant and online lottery tickets available 24-hours a day. Lottery tickets up to $500 can be cashed at any gift shop and all Valero facilities on the Turnpike.

Parking
There are separate parking areas for cars, trucks, buses and RV's. The reconstructed service plazas offer expanded parking areas in the rear lot with extra long spaces for truckers with double and triple trailers. There is special RV parking available at several service plazas, or customers may also park RV's or travel trailers in the rear lot. Car parking is available in the front of the building or on the left side of the building near the service station. Customers may use the rear parking area (which serves as an overflow lot for cars) during busy holiday weekends or summer months. Parking is not restricted in the original service plazas and motorists are permitted to park in any available space.

Pets
All service plazas have a pet walk area with water available. The new service plazas have an enclosed pet walk, which is cleaned regularly.
Except for assisted living dogs, animals are not permitted in the building.

Picnic Grounds
All 14 service plazas have outdoor seating available. The older plazas have shaded, picnic-type grounds. The new plazas have tables set-up on the outside of the food court area near the front of the building.

Plaza Managers
Plaza managers are on duty at each new service plaza to help with directions, reservations, car trouble, or answer general questions. Hours vary throughout the week with additional staffing on weekends.

Prices
Prices for food, fuel and other items sold at the service plazas are competitive with those charged at similar, off-Turnpike establishments in the same area.

RV's - Travel Trailers
The following service plazas offer electrical outlets, a wastewater dump station and potable water for a $15.00 fee:
- Wyandot/Blue Heron - MP 76.9
(Between Interchanges 71 and 81)
- Middle Ridge/Vermilion Valley - MP 139.5
(Between Interchanges 135 and 140)
- Brady's Leap/Portage - MP 197.0
(Between Interchanges 193 and 209)

Restrooms
All service plazas have restroom facilities. All reconstructed plazas have two sets of men's and women's restrooms. Additionally, the new service plazas offer family restrooms and 24-hours janitorial services. There is a separate restroom facility, including showers, available for truckers in the Trucker's Lounge area.

TTY Phones
A public TTY telephone communication system is available at all reconstructed service plazas located next to the standard payphones in the lobby area of the plaza. There is no extra charge for the service, which is provided for people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or speech impaired.

Telephones
Public telephones are located inside every service plaza and are available for calls using coins, credit cards or calling cards. Phone cards are available in the lobby of every service plaza. In case of an emergency, a 911 telephone is positioned near the payphones and the AED unit.

Travel Information
A lighted travel board featuring a detailed map, hotel/motel listings, and other helpful information is on display at all service plazas. Traveler aids, such as the Turnpike map, lodging guide, and brochures about various tourist attractions are available at the information center at the new plazas.

Truckers' Lounge
All service plazas have a designated area for truckers to rest and relax. The new service plazas offer a lounge area with couches, tables and televisions. All service plazas provide separate restroom and shower facilities for truckers. The new service plazas also have a coin-operated washer and dryer, and laundry detergent can be purchased. Vending Machines
Each service plaza offers a variety of vending machines for those who prefer a snack or drink on the go. Vending machines contain chips, candy, gum, etc. and a variety of cold beverages.
